117th birth anniversary of Srila Prabhupada, the founder acharya of Iskcon was celebrated with great fanfare. Srila Prabhupada was born next day after Janmashtami, the Nandotsav day. On this auspicious occasion several programs were organized in the temple and at Iskcon House. Puspanjali was offered to Srila Prabhupada. A grand Abhishek of Srila Prabhupada was also performed. Kumar Lila Prabhu, a brahmachari at Iskcon Kolkata, composed and sung a beautiful song on this occasion which described Srila Prabhupada’s efforts in spreading Krishna Bhakti all over the world and how he transformed the lives of millions of people all over the world. A special dinner feast was arranged for all the devotees who had come for the program.
