Gaur Purnima Festival

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the Sri Gaur Purnima festival , the festival commemorating the divine appearance of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, the appearance day of Supreme Personality of Godhead Sri Krishna’s golden avatar on 28th March 2021 . Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu established a revolutionary spiritual movement based on the ancient Vedic literature. Putting aside the stifling restrictions of the caste system, he allowed people from all parts transcend social barriers and reached through the chanting of Hare Krishna Mahamantra, the maximum spiritual enlightenment platform.

On this day devotees observe fasting till moon rise which according to Kolkata paran timing would be at 5:26 pm IST .This would be a full day event starting from special Shringar Darshan at 8: 30 am followed by mesmerizing morning Bhagwatam class on Gauranga Mahaprabhu by HG Gauranga Prabhu. After the class devotees will start their preparation for the evening programs after coming back from a delightful Ganga bath. The evening program will begin with the mesmerizing katha on Gauranga Mahaprabhu commencing from 5:00 pm

After receiving all the nectar from our ears this would be the time to receive it through our eyes by watching firstly a small drama and then the most awaited program of the whole day, the beautiful Abhishek of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu with Panchamrita, different fruit juices, flowers etc. Last but not the least to relish our taste buds their will be Special Mahaprasad cooked by all the devotees coming to the temple to serve on this auspicious day.
